Terms

Updated 8 November 2026

XK72 Limited, a New Zealand company, makes Kitset. These terms apply when you buy a Kitset licence and when you use the app. To contact us, email support@kitset.video.

Who sells the licence

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes the payment, sends the receipt and handles refunds. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

The licences

  • A Personal licence is for personal use, such as family videos, travel or a hobby.
  • A Commercial licence is for commercial use: the sites of a business, a charity or another organisation, and the sites that you manage for clients.
  • A Personal or Commercial licence is for one person. You can use it on each of your own Macs, for all of your sites. Each other person who publishes with Kitset needs their own licence.
  • An Organisation licence is for everyone who works for one business or organisation, on each of their Macs, for the work of the organisation. People outside the organisation, for example the staff of a client, need their own licence.
  • Every licence has every feature of the app. The app does not check which licence you bought. We trust you to choose the right one.
  • You pay once. There is no subscription.

The trial

Without a licence, Kitset publishes up to five videos in each site, at no charge. You can edit, replace and delete the videos of a site at any time, with or without a licence.

Updates

A licence includes every update that we release for its major version, for example every 1.x release. A new major version will be a paid upgrade, at a lower price for owners. Your licence keeps working with the versions that it covers.

Your site and Cloudflare

Kitset puts your videos in your own Cloudflare account. You pay Cloudflare for its services, under Cloudflare’s terms. You are responsible for your account and for the videos that you publish. Your published videos keep playing without the app.

Refund policy

If Kitset is not right for you, you can get a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. You do not have to give a reason. Email support@kitset.video, or use the link in the receipt from Paddle. After a full refund or a chargeback, the licence is no longer valid, and Kitset stops the key at its next weekly check. A partial refund does not change the licence.

Warranty and liability

We make Kitset with care, but we cannot promise that it has no faults or that it suits every purpose. To the extent that the law allows, we give no other warranty, and our liability is limited to the price that you paid for your licence.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, for example the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 for consumers in New Zealand.

Law

The law of New Zealand applies to these terms. Where the consumer law of your country must apply, it also applies.

Changes

We can change these terms. The terms on the date of your purchase apply to that purchase.
